Education: Mr. Slacter graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1979 from Boston College Law School where he was an editor of the Boston College Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Slacter graduated with honors from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York in 1974 with a B.A. in Government.

Civic Activities: Mr. Slacter has been active in the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, Bethesda Jewish Congregation, where he has been on the Board of Trustees for the past twelve years and is immediate past president, the Booster Club of Walter Johnson High School and various other groups.

Bar Memberships: Mr. Slacter is a member of the bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is admitted to practice in all Federal, State and Local courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, the United States Tax Court and the United States Claims Court. He is a member of the Maryland, Montgomery County and the D.C. Bar Association.

Personal: Mr. Slacter was born in 1952 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is a 1970 graduate of Central High School. He is married and has two teen-age children.
Legal Experience

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Slacter was appointed to the Honors Program of the United States Department of Justice where he served for six years as a Trial Attorney in the Tax Division. Mr. Slacter represented the interests of the United States and the Internal Revenue Service in civil tax matters throughout the United States from 1979 through 1985.

Mr. Slacter began the private practice of law in 1986. He worked for medium sized law firms in Montgomery County, Maryland for six years before establishing his own practice in 1992. Since that time, he has maintained an office for the practice of law in Bethesda, Maryland.

Mr. Slacter practices in a collaborative setting with 14 other attorneys.
